Rob Rallo has been in the solar industry since 1990, focusing mostly on battery based and off-grid systems. His goal is always to design a cost effective system that meets the needs of the user while maximizing the performance and life of the components.
For many years, Rob has been part of the IEEE working group responsible for industry standards, and has been personally involved in the development of IEEE 1562 (Design Guide for Stand-Alone PV Systems) and IEEE 1561 (Guide for Optimizing the Performance and Life of Lead-Acid Batteries in Hybrid Systems).
Rob earned his bachelor’s degree in electric engineering at Villanova University. While at Villanova, Rob participated in the first GM Sunrayce, where he got his first taste of solar design.
